I Love iGoogle!

The other guy that posts on this blog from time to time introduced me to iGoogle a few months back and I became instantly obsessed. It's basically a fancy shimancy personalized Google home page that integrates all of your favorite stuff. Similar to Mac widgets, iGoogle has gadgets. There's a gadget out there for almost everything. You can display the weather in any city you choose, link your Gmail account, display pictures from Picasa, run feeds of the days top stories from nearly any paper and one of my personal favorites - I can link directly to my Google Reader to stay up on the posts of all my favorite blogs. And yes, there is a gadget allowing you to link directly to the antique furniture listings on Craigs List to make sure you don't miss out on any deals and great things for your little old house.

The only drawback (which I hesitate to even mention), gadgets can be created by pretty much anyone and some work better than others.
