Gossip in the Grain

On the way home from work one day I Twittered that I was listening to the new Ray Lamontagne album, Gossip in the Grain. That led to a request for my review of the album. Seriously, I am the last person you want reviewing any album.

Ray has been one of my favorites since my friend Matt introduced me to his first album, Trouble, when we lived in Seattle. Matthew and I went to see him in Denver on his tour for Til The Sun Turns Black and as my sister in-law Annie put it, "He may officially be the most introverted public performer on the planet, but man can he sing."

Yeah, I know this isn't really a review, but I love Ray. His first two albums are fantastic and I am just getting to know the third.
