Garden update

Lots of heavy wet snow covered Denver last Friday and Saturday and in a typical "spring in the Rockies" turn of the weather we were able to plant our garden by Sunday afternoon.

Three spring snowstorms have been pretty devastating to the greenhouse. Matthew has salvaged most of the structure, but it's a good thing we only need it to remain standing for three more weeks. He's already concocting a plan for a more permanent snow-durable structure to debut this fall.

The basil, chives and tomato plants we started indoors are doing pretty well. The survival of our lettuce is a little touch and go. The mesclun mix is doing the best and in an effort to bump up my crop I am starting some more seeds indoors to transplant in a couple weeks.
