We took Maya to the dog park at Chatfield Reservoir for the first time today. She was in dog paradise. The cost is $7 to get in to the park for the day or you can purchase an annual pass for $60. I think we'll definitely be buying the pass.
The park has ponds and paths just for dogs separate from the main reservoir. Maya started whining (with excitement) and twirling in circles as we parked the car. Matthew opened the door and Maya headed straight for the water. She loves fetching her frisbee from the water. She has a great rubber frisbee that floats and, if we let her, she would probably fetch it until she couldn't swim anymore.
Her frisbee is purple and a little tough to see in the water as the sun is setting. Maya lost it at one point and swam relentlessly to find it. There is a slight current in one pond that pushed the frisbee down near a spit of land. Fortunately for Maya she found it and lucky for us, she was exhasted from the search.
