Debacle

[The following account may be exaggerated]

Lisa gave me permission to do it. The issue is the corner of my yard, surrounded by the street and my neighbor's driveway. This is how it went:

2-3 weeks ago -
[scene - Matthew standing on corner, looking at the snow pile and corner of grass. Corner has tire tracks going through it. Neighbor walks out]
Neighbor - "Howdy neighbor. Sorry for driving over your lawn to get into my driveway. Its difficult to see the path with all of this snow"
Matthew - "No problem. I understand it happens"
Neighbor - "Thanks for being such a good neighbor -- best ever!"

[scene -
Matthew standing on corner, shaking his head, looking at the corner of dwindling grass. Neighbor has missed the mark by 3+ feet. Multiple, deep tire tracks are visible - like neighbor has 4x4'd over curb/corner into her driveway. Neighbor walks out]
Neighbor - "Howdy neighbor -- sorry about those tracks from my big truck"
Matthew - "Well, I'm concerned you're killing my grass"
Neighbor - "hhmmm...sorry...very difficult driving conditions a couple of days ago. I remember slipping out of the driveway over your lawn."
Matthew observes multiple tire tracks, like she's done it over and over for days!
Matthew - "Well, I'm concerned you're killing my grass"
Neighbor - "I've already told the landlord that I'm going to kill the grass on the other side"
Matthew thinks "WTF? - I'm not your landlord"

Today -
[scene - Matthew standing on corner, shaking his head, looking at the corner of grass. Several new tire tracks through snow/grass. Matthew clearly about to lose it]

Tomorrow -
[scene - Matthew laughing like an evil villian, watching his neighbor trying to get into her driveway. To save sprinklers and grass, Matthew has installed 1-2 feet tall reflectors at the corner of the grass. If she misses her driveway (she will), it will be very obvious and she'll have to confront it directly. Its passive aggressive, but so what.]

I'll let everyone know how this drama unfolds.
