Home Show

Lisa and I went skiing yesterday, but our thriving tapeworms caused us to call it a day shortly after noon, have an emergency coke and a bowl of mac-and-cheese, and head home. Since we were ahead of schedule, we decided to hit the Denver Garden and Home Show that night, saving ourselves a trip today (Sunday). This is how it went:

$7.00 to park
$20.00 (with coupon!) entry
$8.19 for two medium cokes

Yes, that $35+ before we saw one garden! Anyways, after I muttered about that for a while, we walked around the entire exhibit, identifying the 30-40 "must have" items for our old house. The biggest item we want (and almost purchased!?!?!) was a 11-foot cantilever umbrella. Its kind of expensive but, given Lisa's fair complexion, this is going to be something we'll purchase for this summer. We'll probably drink coffee on our back patio all day after we get the umbrella -- it will prevent the sun from the east from scorching us to death.
